Tire Alignments from All Tune and Lube
As a part of normal driving, certain elements of one’s alignment can become worn, and springs can be stretched out. In fact, even minor issues like bumping a curb can disrupt alignment, restoring angles to their correct measurements to ensure that wheels sit straight.
Wheel or tire alignment sometimes referred to as breaking or tracking, is a part of standard automobile maintenance, and can make a substantial impact on the performance and life of your vehicle. That’s why, for alignment of tires, Orange County has come to trust All Tune and Lube first and foremost.
Considering the importance of tires alignment to enhancing the performance of a vehicle, it’s important to recognize the signs of uneven tire wear. Often, more wear on the outside than on the inside is an indicator that your car is out of alignment. Other indicators include unintended drifting to one side when you’re intending to drive straight. If your steering wheel is vibrating or your steering wheel isn’t centered, you’re also likely in need of tires alignment. If none of these indicators are present, simply check your owner’s manual to see how often the manufacturer recommends having this service.
What Is an Alignment?
An alignment requires squaring a car’s wheels and axles with each other so that they’re all moving in the same direction. We’ll adjust each suspension angle – known as toe, thrust camber and caster – to influence tire movement and position. Our technician will also check to make sure the steering wheel is centered. During an alignment, an expert ATL auto mechanic will position and adjust components so that the wheels are aligned with one another and the surface of the road. Our mechanic will also take the opportunity to make sure that no suspension components are excessively worn or broken.
The alignment you receive at All Tune and Lube is dependent upon your car’s suspension. We’ll perform a four-wheel alignment for all-wheel vehicles or front wheel drive vehicles with independent or adjustable rear suspensions. For other vehicle types, we might perform a front-end alignment or thrust-angle alignment, in which the rear wheels and axle are realigned to be parallel with the front axle and perpendicular to the center line of the car.
